My name is Danilo Baia Milhomem, I was born in Northern Brazil in the small town of Miracema do Tocantins. We moved to California in 1996 where I lived for most of my early adult life. In 2010 I began photographing professionally in the San Francisco Bay Area. I worked there professionally until 2017 when I joined the U.S. Navy for an Air Traffic Controller job. My wife Milla, my daughter Ellen and I have since moved and established my photography business in Kingsville, Texas. Whether it be a beautiful sunrise landscape or a candid smile, photography for me is the ability to freeze time to create a timeless images that moves and inspires the viewers. My journey as a photographer began at a thrift store with the purchase of a 35mm Olympus OM1 film camera from 1972.  I quickly fell in love with the technical challenges of photographing and the art of composition. I began to study photography; constantly learning and improving my photographs became a passion. My neighbor, Richard Palmer, a Vietnam veteran, turned professional modeling photographer and writer became my mentor later that same year. With more than 20 years of experience he greatly improving my photographic skills. Teaching me age-long portrait and wedding photography techniques used by the great Monte Zucker. He also provided me with a course from the New York Institute of Photography, which covered many aspects of professional photography such as portraits, weddings, journalism, and nature photography. Nearly ten years later I'm extremely grateful to of had people such as Richard guide me. I also cant forget my lovely wife Milla who has encouraged and motivated me along the way.
